Make a small mark on the far edge of the material as your cutting reference point.
Place the material on a flat, stable surface.
Turn on the switch and align the red guide line with the reference point.
Cut slowly while keeping the guide line pointed at the mark.

Locate the battery cover marked with "+" on the button side.
Turn counterclockwise to open and remove old batteries.
Insert 3 new LR44 batteries (positive side down).
Close by turning clockwise.
