Why a Long Brim Baseball Cap?
The bill of a baseball cap was designed to keep the sun out of a player's eyes, as Wikipedia's article on the baseball cap notes. A long brim baseball cap simply takes that further. With a 14 cm bill, it shades more of your face and cuts glare when you are walking, golfing, fishing, at a game or driving.
A long brim cap is still a regular baseball cap, so it is lighter and easier to pack than a wide-brim hat.
Cap or Sun Hat?
A cap shades your eyes and the front of your face, but not your ears or the back of your neck. For a long day in strong sun, add sunscreen to exposed skin or choose a wide-brim hat. If you need sun protection clothing, look for a UPF rating on the label; this cap does not list one.
Fit and Colours
The strap at the back adjusts with a slide buckle, so you can loosen or tighten it to fit. Black hides marks and suits everyday wear; white looks fresh in summer and keeps the cap cooler-looking in the sun.
Pair it with sunglasses for bright days, or the shell bracelet for a beach look. Browse more women's hats and caps, men's hats and caps and the jewellery and accessories collection.
Care Tips
Spot clean your long brim cap with a damp cloth and mild soap, and let it air dry on its own shape. Avoid the washing machine and dryer, which can bend the long bill. Store it flat or hang it so the brim does not crease.
